We got into bed. I said my prayers. Then I tossed and turned. My husband tossed and turned. We both, after fighting sleep for a few hours, decided we probably needed to pray. And so we did. We prayed for mercy of the financial structure of this country. We prayed for protection and provision for all Christians proclaiming the Gospel.
Right after we prayed I picked my phone up off my bedside table. As I turned it on there was an alert that the markets in Australia, Dubai, and Shang Hi were all crashing. I nudged my husband and handed him the phone. Not three seconds later his phone began receiving alerts as well. God had made us restless so that we would pray and keep watch. I still get goose bumps thinking about it.
Monday morning I had a lot going on. I turned the news on as I got dressed. Within 5 minutes I turned it off. The Lord prompted me to share on Facebook. This is what I posted:
The stock market opened at historical lows. A state trooper is shot in the head point blank on a traffic stop. Orlando Airport is investing $250k in a Muslim prayer room. The state of Kentucky has banned the American Flag in all schools. The Denver airport has vetoed opening a Chick Fil A because its offensive. And that's all just today! I try to save my opinions for my blog but honestly if you have your heart set in this world it's time to rethink that. Look up people! Your Savior draweth nigh!
Interestingly, out of all eight hundred or so "friends" I have on Facebook, only 39 people liked the post.
Many who read this blog are in search of inspiration. Proof that Jesus can redeem lives. Comfort knowing that another Believer shares commonalities. I rarely write about my core beliefs as a follower of Jesus Christ. Today? I must. There is just too much at stake not to do so.
Many churches today preach the Gospel message. Forgiveness, redemption, love, and grace. And these are key elements to following the Lord. Our young people willingly serve in global and local missions in the name of love. Build houses in the name of love. Serve meals to the hungry in the name of love. And this is wonderful. But there is so much more we need to be teaching. How many young people do you know that understand the prophetical and biblical importance of Israel? Our churches have failed to communicate the dire importance of our covenant relationship with Israel.
Further more, through the decades, in the spirit of tolerance, we (the church) have left out repentance, judgement, and the rapture of the church. These are fundamental issues. Without addressing these principles we are leaving a huge hole in the Gospel. What happens when you leave a hole in something? It deflates. Or it breaks. Or it doesn't work properly. We have deflated the Gospel. Because few are teaching the importance of repentance, the judgement of our actions as a nation, and the rapture of the church? The enemy has seamlessly slipped right through that hole. He has marred the gospel. Tarnished it. And our youth have no idea that they've been deceived.
We have culturally and corporately accepted what God deems as sin to be mainstream appropriate and acceptable. And where has the church been? Who has stood up in the name of Jesus and said "This is wrong America! We must repent!"?. As a nation we have been sleep walking. All the while we are watching the very moral fiber of this great country slip away. And, evidently, we are okay with that.
For those of us who believe the book of Revelation we are eagerly watching every single thing that is happening world wide and here in the United States. You would have to be living under a rock not to have noticed the sheer madness we are living in.
The bible clearly tells us that there will be signs from the heavens upon His return:
"And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides."-Luke 21:25
"So Jesus said to him, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you simply will not
believe."-John 4:48
"When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, you will know that it's desolation is near"-Luke 21:20
"No one knows about the day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come"-Matthew 24:36-42
I am not a doomsday advocate. I am not a date setter. I am a realist. I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be real. I believe the bible is real. And the bible is clearly telling us to wake up!
Think about the boundaries you set for your children. If they break the rules once, possibly twice, you warn them. If they don't learn the lesson? If they do it again? You punish them. You punish them because you love them. Deeply. You want what is best for them, yes? Why in the world would we not think our Father in heaven is not going to intervene over our national blatant disobedience? The warnings are everywhere. He, for now, has held back his punishment on our nation.

Do the research for yourself. Delve into God's Word. Pray over the Gospels. Ask God to give you clarity. Ask Him to show you what He is trying to tell us. Ask Him to lift the veil so that you may clearly see. And when you do see? Pray some more. In Jesus name.

beforehand"-Mark 13:23
